As a blogger or website owner in Nigeria, one of the things you are probably concerned about is how reliable your web host it. You would probably need a web host that offers you about 100% uptime and all the other necessary support you need.

First and foremost, you would probably need to partner with a host that supports wordpress, blogger or any other blogging template you would want to use. Some web hosts even offer you a free domain name if you simply subscribe to a 1 year web hosting plan with them.

Sure, there are probably many web hosting companies in Nigeria and abroad with who you can partner with in order to meet your needs and the needs of your growing online audience. In fact, if you do particularly intend to have a constantly updated website that has a growing traffic for the long term, you should be really concerned about your web hosting bandwidth limit, web space and a good customer service. Well, a lot of things do count when it comes to making web hosting decisions as a Nigerian resident.

There are probably some advantages of hosting your websites using a local web host but it also comes with some disadvantages. Same goes also for hosting your website using a foreign web host. When it comes to foreign web hosts which Nigerian bloggers use, providers such as Bluehost, Netfirms, Fatcow and Godaddy are among them.

The best web host would have to be that web host that offers you the best services you need and so this would differ from one blog or another. One particular customer may want more web space but also at a good discount while another person may just want a web host that offers 100% uptime and good customer service.
