How to Move a domain name from one Netfirms account to another

I had a problem once when I had a domain name on one Netfirms account but wanted to host it at another Netfirms account. Since it was the same web host, I thought it would just be straight and easy but I didn't know how to do is since Netfirms had upgraded their platform and I didn't see the export domain link they once had. Well, I later found out a button that allows one to move domain names from one Netfirms to account to another.

How to do it

- Log into the first Netfirms account where the domain name is hosted
- Search for the domain name
- Select it by clicking on the check box before it
- Select the link below that says Modify domain
- Enter the username of the Netfirms account you want to transfer it to
- Click the button that says Move Selected Domain

The Domain name will then be queued for moving to the destination account under Netfirms.

I think this is a good option and you can easily use it to send domain names to other people as a gift or after buying domain names for them. If you also have multiple web hosting account with Netfirms, you can also use this to move domains easily for easy management.

Note that if you wanted to move your website from one Netfirms account to another, you also need to transfer the files from the old folder to the new account and you can do this by using an FTP program. I normally use Dreamweaver for that.
