As a website owner, one of the things you have to consider, especially if you have big site is to back it up once in a while. Even if you have a good and reliable web hosting service, they are not exactly perfect as the security of your web hosting files is really important to you.

Web hosts do offer a backup service you can activate from your control panel. You can go to file manager and compress your web files to a zip file and then download it. This will help you have a local copy of your site for security sake. Having a copy of your website and also giving another one to your host is a cool way to secure your files so assuming your computer crashes, you cal always for for the online copy and if your web host mistakenly deletes your file, you can always have access to a local copy of it.
